A 3-year-old pit bull, which survived being shot in the head, will be looking for a new home soon.Glock was 10 months old when he and his mother were rushed to a veterinary clinic in Rock Springs, Wyo., for treatment of gunshot wounds. "They were shot by the owner's dad because of allegedly killing a cat," according to Brittany Beesley, rescue coordinator at the Humane Society of the Black Hills. "The bullet entered the top of Glock's head and exited beneath his neck."
At the clinic, the young dog displayed symptoms of shock and couldn't get up from a prone position. The medical staff was able to help him survive the trauma; however, his mother eventually died from her wounds.
No charges were filed against the shooter, and the owner surrendered the animal to the clinic. For the next two years, the clinic staff tried to find a home for the dog with no luck. When the Rock Springs clinic shut down, Glock was sent to the Black Hills.
Glock is now healthy but extremely bashful, according to Beesley.
"He's becoming more sociable," she said.
The humane society plans to send Glock to a foster home for training and prepare him for adoption. "He isn't ready for adoption now, but he will be one day," Beesley said.

"We stopped in one Saturday "just to look at the pets", intending to be able to adopt in the near future. To our utter surprise and subsequent joy, a Basset Hound puppy had been brought in just a day or so earlier.
